Christmas and getting ready for winter

We had lots of fun before Christmas break. I wish I had taken more photos.
We had a Grinch day with cute crafts and some writing. Then we watched the film. Can you believe none of my students had heard about The Grinch? They were super excited with the movie.

I bought

Christmas Print and Play Number Worksheets from Melanie (From the Pond). My students loved the spinner games! It is one of my favorite purchases from TPT.

Our last craft was a big Santa paper craft! Sorry I don’t have the pattern. But it is pretty simple as you can see.

We have also created these cute snowmen to celebrate winter. I have seen this activity all over pinterest.

Each student has drawn their own pieces for the collage- I love that they all look different.
As soon as we came from Christmas break we celebrated Los Reyes Magos. I have some resources from last year.
Kids brought their new toys. Then we talked about the cabalgata(parade) and their Roscón the Reyes (traditional cake).
They toys have been in the classroom about a week and I can say that they have been sharing them and taking care of them.
Our next goal is writing. We will be doing some writing activities.
You’ll find this snowman writing in my TPT store: How to make a snowman craftivity

Feliz dia de la Tierra

I know I am late… We don’t celebrate Earth day this week, but I thought I could share some useful resources with you:

All these online activities are in SPANISH. You can use them on your smart board to teach about recycling.
The first two are very simple. You just need to separate the residues. These are very basic so could be easily be used in Kindergarten classrooms too.

This one is a whole site dedicated to recycling glass. You’ll see lots of great printables, games, downloadable images and teaching materials.
My students love the recycling chain.

This is a whole site dedicated to recycling in general (Enseñar a reciclar). It can be used for any grade because it has many different games depending on the age. Check out the downloadable materials!

Hope you have a great week and you save many trees! And please check my Earth Day craft, it is featured on Erica’s blog: I am so excited that she will be using it with her students this week!

Getting ready for Spring break!

We just came back from Fallas break. Did you know about them. They are typical from Valencia. They create big monuments that are burned on the last day (March 19). It’s a whole week of  beautiful parades, monuments, fire-works, music and fun. I just have some photos because I am not living in Valencia so I only visited for a day.

After this mini-break… we are getting ready for Easter Break! Tests are over! Yipee! We celebrated with my last craftivity… Easter Bunnies.

My students loved this one. They are getting quite good with them. I showed them the instructions on the smartboard and they were able to do it on their own. Aren’t they adorable?

When do you start Spring break?
