Reading series Geronimo Stilton

I have been in my classroom for a month now. This year I am looping with my first graders to second grade. My students are very excited because we are starting our reading series.
I have different reading levels in my classroom. This series is for 3rd-4th grade but my second graders love it!
It is the story of a detective mouse named GerĂ³nimo Stilton. It has many different books and lots of online resources. This books have been so successful tat they have even created a feminine character for another series: Tea Stilton. My girls love her.
What I do in my classroom is that I read aloud the first book of the series and when we go to the school library lots of my kiddos take the rest of the books for reading at home. Sometimes, when there are multiple copies we read them in our reading teams during small group reading. They love that. Hopefully I will be able to buy some more books with multiple copies for my classroom library.
I have included some links to their online resources.

Some of these resources/games are only in Spanish but you can find some of the books in English too.
AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES!

I have joined two great giveaways from two great bloggers:

What have you been pinning lately?

I have been in school for two weeks, working hard on lesson planning and creating stuff for my classroom.

I am looping with my last year firsties and I love it! These weeks are all about refreshing our classroom rules again. Summer is very long and they tend to forget about lining up and so on.

On the other hand I have been more on pinterest than blogging this week. I find it relaxing pinning lots things I can create for my classroom that I will never do.

So I wanted to share my favorite boards:

CLEVER TEACHERS: I pin all those great ideas that I need to copy from blogs.
CLASSROOM: ORGANIZATION: If my mom reads this she is going to laugh at this. But I love classroom organization! In fact, my classroom is more organized than my home. đŸ™‚
MY TEACHER WISHLIST: All that cool stuff I want to buy for me or my classroom.
READING IS FUN: All kind of ideas to make reading even more exciting in my classroom.
K-2 ARE SCIENTIST TOO: Some great ideas from the web. We don’t have science textbook this year so I need all the ideas I can get.
I TEACH SPANISH: There are not many resources in Spanish, so I pin ideas that I can use later.
And many more…
Check out my Pinterest boards and tell me about your own!

Five senses unit

We have been in school for 4 days now. We are still learning expectations and revising procedures but I am getting ready for my first science unit: OUR BODY.

I have created a small Fold and Learn activity about the 5 senses that you can get in my TPT store. It is quite simple but it will help my students reviewing what we learned last week.
You can do it in English or Spanish.
I have been searching some Spanish online resources to teach the 5 sense and this is what I have found. Some online games with lots of listening that you can use on your Smart Board. I have included some English  because I know that most of you teach in English language classrooms.
Now I have detailed it a bit so you can quickly see what you’ll find in each site. Just click on the images to visit that game.

Most of these games are for K-2 students. Some of them include teacher resources and printables.

Most of them have cool sounds that and even some videos!

And these are the English resources. The second one is my favorite!
