Polar Bear craftivity

I shared a little craft a couple of days ago on Instagram and some of you contacted me to get the pattern. So, better late than never. Get your pattern and enjoy the craft!

Free Polar Bear craftivity

I recognize this is not the cutest craft I have ever made (check out the blog/store for better examples). But it is quick and cheap because you do not need colored paper and you won’t spend a lot of your time coloring.

For the scarves I used cute colored paper I bought from Target a couple of years ago.

If you want to create a the big letters just use big fonts on power point and have lots of patience to cut them out.

Ya llegan los Reyes Magos

Happy New Year Everyone!

I am joining Iteachbilinguals linky party!

If you are in Spain you are still on Holiday. If you are a dual language teacher in the U.S. You will be back to school soon. So I think that this is a good freebie for you:

Reyes magos

It is a Wise Men simple craftivity that you can use to write a letter to the Reyes Magos. It could be a Thank You letter if you go back to school on the 7th or you could just write a poem. That is what we did.

The printable file includes head and hands on one page, 2 beards for two students on the next page, 2 crowns for to students on the third page and the writing paper. If you want to create your own writing paper, the FREE border is from Kinda Art.

I highly recommend printing the face/hands page on colored paper to avoid extra coloring.

To do the crowns we first drew the top part, you can see each student has a different design on top. I asked them to make a few ‘big mountains’ instead or lots of tiny ones for easy cutting. Then we decorated with stickers.

If you are looking for more Reyes Magos resources visit last year post.

Have fun and enjoy the linky!

Christmas crafts

I loved this year Christmas celebration in our school. We did Polar Express on our last day before winter break. It was not a lot of work and the kids were superexcited. If you haven’t heard about it I highly recommend you doing a pinterest search for next year.

We decorated the classroom as a train and gave the students jingle bells in the end. It was magical.

We did some crafts too… So many I do not have photos of all of them:

The first one is this cute little elf by First grade Blue Skies:

We used foam instead of paper and it turned out ever cuter. 😉

We also did the snowman buddies we did last year but I totally let them to choose eyes, noses, hats… I love that they turned out so unique.

We did this awesome little craft too. This was pretty easy. Just print the body on light brown paper and decorate with crayons.

This Christmas ball was a hit. We decorated them with the families.

Christmas decor craft

In my school we always ask parents to come and help for a day. The kids love  creating a family craft with them. This year we did Christmas balls.

First we gave them the white ornament and asked them to add Mod Podge and  colored tissue paper. When they finished they could add some all the glitter.

The next day we did tags to wrte their names and take them home.

And now that Christmas is over I can’t wait to get ready for the Next year! See you in 2016!
