GoNoodle ’s Back to School Blogger Blitz

gonoodle español

I just love GoNoodle! My kids love it too. And it is free!

What else can you ask for?

Some of my teacher friends don’t use it because it is not in Spanish. But this it can be easily adapted.

Here you can see a screenshot I took of my computer.

My kids do not understand most of the brain breaks. They find them funny but they just don’t understand. So what I do is that I use the dance/run ones. They even catch some of the lyrics. Zumba is easy but their favorite is Koo Koo Kagaroo.

One of the things that I like about GoNoodle is Maximo or the other relaxing videos. My kids don’t understand them at all. They just can’t follow.

What can you do? Just click on the YouTube icon and add what you need. We all have our favorite Spanish songs, chants… I added some relaxing ones and the times tables songs. So worth it!

Once you have the videos that you like you just use them in the classroom.

As soon as we started GoNoodling in the classroom parents asked me about it. You can invite them to use it at home by sending a letter home.

I have created some Spanish posters. Feel free to use them 🙂 There are some great printables on the GoNoodle blog too.

Another great thing about GoNoodle is that you can buy lots of goodies on their GoNoodle store. My kids went crazy when I gave them tattoos last year. I may get some pencil for my new firsties.

Remember to use the Back to School code if you want to get some goodies.

I am not ready, of that I am sure… 🙂

We don’t go back until September, but I know that many of you are already waking up early and attending school meetings. And what does a teacher need at the beginning of the year? Resources and coffee!

Scroll down to see What I have been working on and the giveaway.

Some new science foldables are on the way:

The clipart is being drawn specifically for each foldable so it is completely unique. 🙂

I am also working on revamping my oldies. If you own any of these, redownload.

If you haven’t visited for a while you maybe you remember my old blog design. It was a free one I found some years ago. It was time to have a good design. I love this new look. If you want to have a new design click here. I loved that it was created from scratch just for me and the designer made it personal. THANKS!!! 🙂

End of the year sharks

I have recently moved to WordPress and I am still learning how to use my blog.

This is going to be my first post 😉

I want to share our end of the year with you.  We have had a great end of second grade. I had a great group and I will miss them next year.

Every year our whole school does a theme. We all decorate doors and halls. Last year it was The Circus. I loved this theme. This year we did water. Each grade focused on a different thing. We chose Oceans.

Ocean classroom doorThis is my coworker’s door. I forgot taking my picture. But we did it together so it looked the same.

First we painted and decorated paper. The kids drew some ocean creatures while the other teacher and I used the painted paper to create shapes. We used this patterns to help them.

let's draw ocean friends

We also did a shark craft I found on pinterest. It was so easy that I did not give them patterns, they did on their own. I like seeing all the different faces they created.

Our end of the year trip was a night in the Aquarium. It was awesome and I loved that all my students were able to attend. I think that this was the best way to end our year together. It was a wonderful experience. I did not sleep but I enjoyed every minute.

The kids were thrilled to sleep with sharks. But before going we studied sharks.

I always try to make a cute end of the year gift that is meaningful to them, and this year I found the best one!

I bought these pencil pouches the weekend after the trip. And I saved these sharks them for two months! I also added a personalized bookmark by the Brown Bag Teacher. You can get them here, they are free.
